ANNUAL SALMON CHALLENGE
RULES


Salmon is the only eligible species of fish allowed for entry.

Fish must be at least 18 inches in length

Tickets will be available at the cost of $25.00

You will not be allowed to weigh a fish in on the day you purchase ticket.

Your name must be printed on your entry ticket or your fish will not be weighed.

Fish must be weighed at Marina Office only. Weigh - in times will be 9:00 am to 8:00 pm.

All entrants must be in possession of a valid Ontario Fishing License and comply with MNR fishing regulations.

Judges reserve the right to disqualify all entries that vary from the rules.

All decisions made by the judges are final. Judges are Dave Fedick and Bob Speer.

The intent of this club is to allow fishermen to have fun while enjoying the sport of salmon fishing.

All fish must be caught in the waters of Lake Superior. Fish caught in the rivers are not allowed.

Fish entered can be only weighed at the Marina Park Office. No other weigh slips will be accepted. It is up to each fisherman to ensure he knows the allowable timelines for weighing fish in.

An angler can enter as many fish as he wishes but can only win one cash prize. You must attend the presentation at the Wayland Bar to win.

In the event of a tie in fish weight, the first fish weighed will be the winner.
Fish entered will be marked after being weighed in.

The summer long fish derby will commence at 06:00 am on Sunday June 1st, 2008 and continue until Sunday September 14, 2008.

The awards dinner will be at the Wayland Bar & Grill on Thursday September 18th, 2008, commencing at 6:00 pm. You must have a valid derby ticket to attend. Beef on a bun with salads will be served.

Spouses and friends are more then welcome to attend. A minimal fee of $6.00 will be charged if they wish to attend the dinner.

Cash prizes will be adjusted depending on the number of entries. Cash prizes will be awarded to the largest salmon of the season and to the largest salmon caught and entered each month ( June, July, August, September). Mystery prizes will also be awarded based on mystery weight.

NOTE: If possible, measure the length of all fish weighed in and give length when weighing fish to weigh person to enter on weigh ticket.

Length entered on weigh ticket will give us the info of length versus weight for salmon.
